As a rule, we cannot guarantee you will see a Whale. But we will do everything possible to give you the very best chance. In our experience, you have a greater than 80% chance of encountering a whale during your tour and you may also see dolphins!

Absolutely! We encourage kids and families to come along and share the magical experience of Whale Watching.

Most younger children cope easily on a boat for 3 hours or less.

Smaller children are required to be supervised by parents at all times to ensure their safety.

We do not have a minimum age for children to take part in a tour.

It depends on your child’s level of interest and ability to sit comfortably for up to 3 hours.

All children will require the assistance and supervision of a parent or guardian.

No. Although we required a minimum number (8 people) to run a viable tour, we run regular mixed charters for individuals and small groups.

When you make a booking, we will attempt to fill the charter up to or above the minimum group size.

If we are unable to book the minimum number required to undertake the tour, we will get in touch to reschedule or offer you a refund for the cancellation.

The minimum number of people we require to run a viable tour is 8 people. Our vessel is surveyed to take up to 30 passengers, however to ensure customer comfort, we cap our numbers to:

• No more than 16 participants in a group tour

• No more than 20 passengers in a private tour

On occasion, we will need to add one or two extra passengers at the Skippers discretion, but we try to avoid overcrowding the vessel.

We will do our best to manage the bookings to ensure that all advertised tours go ahead. We will advertise a minimum number of charters to ensure that bookings are filled before we add another scheduled tour for that particular day or weekend.

If we do not have enough people to run the charter we will contact you in advance to discuss your options. If the charter is cancelled, and you do not wish to reschedule, you will receive a full refund.

It is often colder out on the water than on land, so please check the weather and dress appropriately.

Winter in Victoria is COLD. Dress in your warmest clothes, you can always remove layers.

Although the seating area is covered, it is a good idea to have rain protection also.

Sunglasses are a good idea to reduce the amount of sun glare reflecting off the water.

It’s also a good idea to bring along some cold drinks, and snacks or nibbles if you want them. We provide a light snack, as well as tea & coffee.

Consider your footwear. We recommend closed toe, non-slip footwear such as sneakers or boots.

Some people also choose to bring their own binoculars and a warm knee-rug for comfort.

You are welcome to bring a small amount of alcohol to enjoy during your tour, however please drink responsibly.

Glass bottles are not permitted on board. CANS ONLY.

Most tours will go ahead rain, hail or shine. Whales don’t mind getting wet!

Our vessel is equipped with side curtains that we will pull down to keep you dry and out of the wind if required.

However, if strong winds, swell or extreme weather conditions are forecast you will be contacted and given the opportunity to cancel or reschedule your charter.

Yes. You can cancel your tour providing you do so at least 24 hours before your scheduled departure time.

Please plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to check in and get settled on the boat before departure.

Please contact us if you are running late as soon as possible. In most instances, we will try to wait for you (within reason) or call you if you have not arrived by the scheduled departure time. For more information please see our Terms and Conditions.

Yes. We meet all the current safety regulations to operate a charter vessel. We take your safety seriously.

You are not required to wear a life-jacket while on board the vessel, however life-jackets are easily accessible in the overhead locker in the case of an emergency.

Smoking is permitted on board, however we ask that you refrain from smoking near children and other non-smoking customers. Please ask about a designated smoking area.

Yes. Our vessel has a flushing toilet below deck. Please note that you will need to access the toilet via a steep downward step. If you experience mobility issues, please call to discuss before booking.

Yes. We often welcome NDIS self-managed participants on board group charters, and also run private charters for groups.

Our vessel has a side door for easy access onto the boat, including wheelchair access. However, the onboard toilet does not allow for wheelchair access.

When you book online you will be required to pay a 40% deposit to secure your booking.

Card and cash payments are available on board to pay your remaining balance.

Unfortunately, no.

Because the whale watching season is very short and there is often limited availability on weekends we do not recommend purchasing gift vouchers as they can be difficult to redeem during peak times.

We recommend talking to the person you wish to gift a tour and then book a date that suits.

We try to keep group numbers low to ensure passenger comfort. Our pricing is calculated to ensure that the business is financially viable to operate tours with a minimum capacity of 8 people.

We have made the decision to offer one set price to all customers.

This keeps the pricing low for everyone. If we offered discounts for children and concession, our adult pricing would have to be increased.

Students and researchers in the field of marine biology and marine mammals, as well as not-for-profit community groups are encouraged to contact us to discuss and book discounted tours.
