From September - May, Phillip Island Whale Watching transforms into a fishing charter vessel, operating as Newhaven Fishing Charters

With more than 30 years experience hosting fishing charter tours in Western Port and Bass Strait, Tom is a well-respected Skipper and fisherman.

We conduct both private and mixed group charters for people of all ages and ability levels.

    SEPTEMBER - DECEMBER

    Western Port Snapper Fishing Charters

    Book a private or mixed group charter from September - December to target these prized fighting fish during their annual migration into Western Port. Regarded as an excellent table fish, and relatively easy to hook for all ages and ability levels, Snapper Season is an exciting time on the fishing calendar.

    Western Port King George Whiting Charters

    They might not be large in size, but these renowned fish fight hard and are arguably one of the best table fish in Victoria. While these fish are available in the bay throughout the year, this species is most active when the water temperatures heat up during the summer months.

    OFFSHORE TUNA FISHING

    Anytime from around February onwards there is the opportunity to head out into Bass Strait and Target Tuna as they travel past Phillip Island.

    Family & Kids Fishing Charters

    Come along any time during the season for a fun day on the water with your family. Each year we take 100s of kids and parents out to learn how to fish. We look for a variety of bay species including Pinkies, King George Whiting, Flathead, Trevally and Gummy Sharks and catch a huge range of other fish as well!

    Christmas Parties

    Each year we host work, family and group Christmas parties for a range of fishing experiences both in Western Port and out in Bass Strait. Groups bring their own refreshments and enjoy an onboard sausage sizzle along with a fun fishing experience and stunning coastal scenery.
